Feelin' the Love!

This week has been "Staff Appreciation Week" at our school and even though I am always happy to be working at OCPS, it is nice to be reminded that what I do is appreciated and important. The week started off with students bringing in flowers, so I've had a beautiful, sweet-smelling bouquet to enjoy in the library all week. After that, I was surprised with sweet notes from several students, which I appreciate more than they will ever know! Then came the goodies! Oh, my! I couldn't even walk down the hall without someone handing me a cookie, a cupcake, or a muffin! Yum! Some of the best gifts of all, though, were the big hugs I got from students this week and some "I'll miss you"s from the 2nd graders! Our PTO and administrators have also been "appreciating" us this week! PTO hosted a delicious cookout and gave away tons of prizes, including a flash drive for everyone! Woohoo! I can always used 4 more gigs of storage! Our administrators provided a wonderful breakfast on Thursday and also brought us a variety of other "goodies" today! Wow! What a great week! Now, if we can just make it (sanely) for the next 5 school days we'll be off to our "happy places" for summer vacation! :)  Thanks for reading! ~D
